∴ Their equivalent resistance,
1R=112+16+13⇒R1=1.71Ω
Equivalent resistance of all the resistors in series, R=2+1.71+x=3.71+x
Now, I=VR [By Ohm's law]
Or 0.4=63.71+x
⇒x=11.3Ω≈11Ω
