Solution

The correct option is B 35
Let us check each of the options one by one.
  • For 21 chocolate bars, We know, 7 × 3 = 21.
Hence, the possible number of rows and columns can be 7 rows and 3 columns or 3 rows and 7 columns. With 7 rows and 3 columns, the number of rows is 4 more than the number of columns. Therefore this option is not correct.
  • For 14 chocolate bars, We know, 7 × 2 = 14.
Hence, the possible number of rows and columns can be 7 rows and 2 columns or 2 rows and 7 columns. With 7 rows and 2 columns, the number of rows is 5 more than the number of columns. Therefore this option is not correct.
  • For 25 chocolate bars, We know, 5 × 5 = 25.
Hence, the number of rows, as well as columns, will be 5. Since the difference between the number of rows and columns is zero, this option is not correct.
  • For 35 chocolate bars, We know, 7 × 5 = 35.
Hence, the possible numbers of rows and columns can be 7 rows and 5 columns or 5 rows and 7 columns. With 7 rows and 5 columns, the number of rows is 2 more than the number of columns that satisfies the given condition. Therefore this option is not correct.
  • Hence, option D is correct.

<Note for the teacher: Ask the students about their favorite brand and write the initials of that instead of writing chocolate bar each time.>
