Parasitic mode of nutrition is the mode in which nutrients are obtained from another organism which serves as the host while the organism which receives the nutrition is known as the parasite. The host has no advantage in this form of nutrition as the parasite lives on the host’s body and feeds off it. Some examples of organisms which follow parasitic mode of nutrition are lice, tapeworms, fleas etc.
