1) The conventional breeding techniques are not sufficient to meet the demand of the growing population as new breeding technique needs to be implemented.
2) Improvement of the genetic make up of the breeds are not monitored by statistical methods for analysing the breeds genetic potential for better yield of product.
3) New technologies like artificial insemination and selection of particular trait are not implemented nation wide.
4) Conventional techniques like within breed selection has not been performed nation wide due to lack of infrastructure.
5) Breed substitution and crossing can result in better yield but due to lack of of proper environment for a particular breed and lack of resources, product yield is low.
