Diffusion Pressure Deficit (DPD) is the reduction in the diffusion pressure of water/solvent in a solution or in a cell when compared to its pure state.

Water moves from a region of low DPD to high DPD.

DPD (Diffusion Pressure Deficit) = OP (Osmotic Pressure) - TP (Turgor Pressure)

DPD of cell A is 10-5 = 5 atm
