A.Bulliform cells - The large, colourless, water filled, hygroscopic, epidermal cells present in the upper epidermis of grass leaves are called Bulliform cells or Motor cells. They involve in the rolling of leaf lamina during dry conditions and unrolling of leaf lamina during wet conditions.

B. Guard cells - modified epidermal cells present in the stomata are called guard cells. They mainly concerned in the transpiration by means opening and closing mechanisms.

C. Subsidiary cells - also called accessory cells, epidermal cells present around the stomata are called Accessory cells. They help in stomatal transpiration.

D. Endodermal cells - barrel-shaped cells present in the endodermis are called endodermal cells, It is the inner most part of the cortex in root and dicot stem is endodermis. On the radial walls and tangential walls, ligno suberised thickenings are present. These are called Casparian thickenings. Some of the endodermal cells lack Casparian bands. These are called passage cells. These cells are present opposite to the protoxylem cells.
