Cellular respiration is carried out by ________.
mitochondria
Cellular respiration is carried out by mitochondria. The term cellular respiration refers to the biochemical pathway by which cells release energy from the chemical bonds of food molecules and provide energy for the essential processes of life. It has three steps i.e. glycolysis, TCA cycle and Electron Transport Chain (ETC). Glycolysis takes place in the cytoplasm; TCA cycle and ETC takes place in the mitochondria.
