Solution

The correct option is A Interphase
The phase before mitosis is known as interphase. It constitutes 3 subphases.
  1. G1 phase: In this phase, cell synthesize mRNA and proteins required for mitosis. Cell make more and more ribosomes at this stage.
  2. S phase: It is the synthesis phase when the cell copies its DNA in preparation of mitosis. The cell produces a lot of phospholipids at this phase. The centriole replication happens in S phase.
  3. G2 phase: It is the stage when the cell replicates its cell organelles. The cell will have twice the amount of DNA at this stage. This is the last stage before entering mitosis.
And then the cell will enter mitosis with all the requirements. So the correct answer is "interphase".
