The correct option is D 4.83×107m
The heat of reaction for the decomposition of AgCl is 248kJmol1, that is 248000Jmol1. If we convert this Jmol1 to Jphoton1, we get 2480006.0221023 Jphoton1, that is 4.121019Jphoton1.
The conversion factor being 1mole=6.0221023photons.
Thus, we can say that the heat of reaction for the decomposition of AgCl is 4.121019Jphoton1.
We also know the formula E=hcλ, where E is the energy which is 4.121019Jphoton1, h is the Planck's constant, c is the velocity of light in vacuum and λ is the wavelength of light.
Putting all the values in the equation we get,-
4.121019=6.621034×3×108λ
Thus λ=6.62×1034×3×1084.12×1019, that is 4.82×107m
Thus the required wavelength is 4.82×107m
Option D is the correct answer.
