Question

13 and 14 parts of a similar vessel contains fruit juice. I filled water in the remaining empty part of these vessels and poured the juice mixed with water of the two vessels into another big vessel. Work out the ratio of measurement of fruit to water in the new vessel.

Let volume of similar vessels be V litres
Total juice =V3+V4=7V12;
Total water =23V+34V
=1712V In new vessel, ratio of fruit juice and water =7V1217V12=717=7:17
