The given reaction is Acid-catalyzed aldol condensation.
In this reaction,
α
-hydrogen of one aldehyde will combine with carbonyl carbon of another aldehyde to give aldol product.
This product then undergoes the condensation reaction to form a corresponding compound having an alkene group along with aldehyde group.
