Change of state from ice to water and to steam has been shown below. What type of change is involved in the given picture?
In the given example, ice cubes on heating melt into water and on freezing water changes into ice cubes again. On continuous heating of water, it changes into steam/vapour. When these vapours are cooled they convert into the water again. In these reactions, no new substances are formed and it is reversible. Hence, this reaction is called a physical change.
