  1. When two materials are rubbed against each other then both the bodies acquire charges.
  2. One body will lose electrons and acquire a positive charge, and another body will gain electrons and acquire a negative charge.
  3. The fur becomes deficient in electrons which makes it positively charged. Hence, when an ebonite rod is rubbed with fur, the charge acquired by the fur is positive.
