Solution

Solution:

a) For any whole number a, 12a50 is divisible by 10.

Since, it is following the rule of divisibility by 10 as the unit digit is 0.
In this rule, only unit digit matters. Rest all digits can be any whole number.

Hence, the statement is true.

b) The division 12ab4÷10 leaves a remainder of 6.

If unit place is 0 then number is said to be exactly divisible by 10.
But here, unit digit is 4, so this number is not divisible by 10.

So, remainder will be 4 not 6.
Hence, the statement is False.
