Let fx = x4+5x3+6x-7 = 0for x=-4 to be a solution of fx, f-4 must be equal to 0.f-4 = -44+5-43+6-4-7f-4 =256-5×64-24-7f-4 =256-320-24-7f-4 =-95 which is not equal to zero.Hence, x=-4 is not a solution of x4+5x3+6x-7 = 0
