Chintu piggy bank collection has only 2 rupee coins and 5rupee coins .The number of 5 rupee coins exceed the 2 rupee by 10 .If the total value is rupees 155. Find the 2 rupee coins and 5 rupee coins

Solution

Let the nuumber of 2 ruppees be x
Then number of 5 ruppees=x+10
Total money=2x+5(x+10)=155
=>2x+5x+50=155
=>7x +50=155
=>7x=105
Therefore x=15
Therefore number of 2 ruppees=15
Therefore number of 5 ruppees=15+10=25
