Solution
The correct option is A Guard cells Guard cells, these are specialized cells which surrounds the stoma. These are the pair of pea-shaped cell with thick inner wall and thin outer wall which helps in the regulation of transpiration by opening and closing of stomata. Various research shows that, in the guard cells chloroplasts are commonly smaller, less numerous, and have less grana than mesophyll chloroplasts. When the stomata fulls with water, the guard cells become turgid, the unevenness of the wall causes the guard cell to bow outward and thereby stomata becomes opens. When the water is lost the guard cells become less turgidity and the stomata closes.
