Solution

The correct option is C I-True, II-False, III- True, IV- False
Monocarpic plants are the plants that flower only once in their entire lifetime. After flowering, they produce fruits and then they die. All annual plants (e.g:- wheat, rice) and biennial plants (e.g:- carrot, radish) are monocarpic.
Perennial plants have a lifespan of a few to several years. They germinate, grow and flower over a course of a few years. They lose their flowers and flower again in the next year. There are multiple flowering seasons throughout the plants’ lifetime. The period between two consecutive flowering seasons is called the inter flowering phase.
Polycarpic plants are perennial plants and flower repeatedly in intervals every year. But not all perennial plants are polycarpic. Some are monocarpic as well. The monocarpic perennial plants don’t have an inter flowering phase.
All angiosperms produce non-motile gametes. One of the gametes has to be transported near the other. The transfer of pollen grains onto the female reproductive part of the flower is called pollination.
All sexually reproducing organisms don’t show embryogenesis. In the plant kingdom, division Thallophyta, which includes algae, shows sexual reproduction but not embryogenesis.
