Solution

The correct option is D Corniculate Cartilages
Corniculate cartilages or Cartilages of Santorini are a pair of node like cartilages present at the upper end of the arytenoid cartilages. These are made up of elastic cartilage. Elastic cartilage consists of a fibrous network of elastin and collagen fibres. It provides strength and elasticity to the organs.

Thyroid Cartilage is the largest cartilage of the larynx which makes the ventral and a few parts of the lateral surface of the larynx. Cricoid Cartilage is a complete and signet ring-shaped cartilage which is situated below the thyroid cartilage. The thyroid, and cricoid cartilages are made up of hyaline cartilage unlike the corniculate cartilage which is made up of elastic cartilage only. Hyaline cartilage is a pearly bluish-white coloured translucent cartilage which is mostly made up of dense network of collagen fibres embedded in proteoglycan gel.
