Let the total number of students in a class be $x.$

According to question,

Number of girls $=\frac{3}{5}x$

and number of boys $=x-$ $\frac{3x}{5}=\frac{2}{5}x$

Number of girls which are absent = $\frac{2}{9}\times \frac{3}{5}x=\frac{6x}{45}=\frac{2x}{15}$

and number of boys which are absent = $\frac{1}{4}\times \frac{2}{5}x=\frac{x}{10}$

Total number of students which are present

$x-\frac{2x}{15}-\frac{x}{10}=\frac{(30-4-3)x}{30}=\frac{23}{30}x$

Hence, the $\frac{23}{30}$ part of the students are present in the class.
