Solution

The correct option is B A-(ii), B-(iv), C-(v), D-(i)
Sigma factor is a protein needed for initiation of transcription in bacteria. It is a bacterial transcription initiation factor that enables specific binding of RNA polymerase (RNAP) to gene promoters. Capping is a post-transcriptional modification process in eukaryotes that involves a modified base added to the 5' end of the m-RNA. This protects the nascent mRNA from degradation and assists in ribosome binding during translation. Another post-transcriptional modification is in the 3' end of the m-RNA where a tail of multiple 'A' residues are added and hence called the poly 'A' tail. The coding strand in transcription is the strand of DNA that runs 5' to 3' and whose base sequence corresponds to the base sequence of the RNA transcript produced.
So, the correct option is 'A-(ii), B-(iv), C-(v), D-(i)'.
