Copper : Zinc $= 5 : 2$

Copper in alloy = $\frac{17.5}{7} \times 5 = 12.5 k g$

Zinc in alloy = $\frac{17.5}{7} \times 5 = 5 k g$

After mixing zinc = $1 .25 + 5 = 6.25$ kg

New ratio of $\frac{C o p p e r}{Z i i n c} = \frac{12.5}{6.25} = 2 : 1.$
