Solution
The correct option is D Prophase-metaphase-anaphase-telophase
Mitosis is the equational division where at the end of the cell division the mother cell is divided in to 2 daughter cells each having equal genetic material as the mother cells.
The mitosis is divided into 4 phases the prophase, metaphase, anaphase and telophase.
Prophase is where the genetic material start to condense and the nuclear membrane starts to disappear.
It is followed by metaphase where the chromosomes are lined at the equatorial plate and the spindle fibers produced from the centrioles are attached to the kinetochore which are present in the middle of the chromosomes.
The third phase anaphase where the chromosomes are pulled by the spindle fiber towards the pole of the dividing cells.
The last phase is the telophase where the chromosomes are at the poles and the spindle fiber has disappeared and the chromosomes have started to decondense.
After the telophase karyokinesis and cytokinesis takes place forming 2 daughter cells.
Therefore the correct answer is option 'Prophase-metaphase-anaphase-telophase'.
