Solution
The correct option is C Electron transport system`
During kerb cycle of the aerobic respiration the electrons that are released which reduce the NAD to NADH are accumulated inside the inner membrane of the mitochondria creating a gradient.
The protons or the hydrogen ions present are to be transported from inside the inner membrane to the matrix between the inner and the outer membrane due to this the ATP formation will take place by the F1-F0 complex whic present embedded on the inner mitochondrial membrane.
F1-F0 complex transports H ion from their higher concentration from inside the inner membrane to the matrix between the outer and the inner membrane. With transport of each ion one molecule of ATP is formed.
This is called chemiosmotic phosphorylation and the process is a part of Electron transport chain where the electrons and the ions froms the electron acceptor such as NAD and FAD are transported to the matrix for the formation of ATP and these acceptors are again regenerated so that the reactions can continue.
Therefore the correct answer is option 'Electron transport system`'.
