  • Lesser Himalayas are located south of the Great Himalayas. The major peaks are Pir Panjal, Dauladhar, Mussoorie, Nag Tibba, Mahabharat, and more.​
  • The famous hill Stations of the lesser Himalayas are Mussoorie, Shimla, Nainital, Kullu, and more.​
  • The last range is called Shiwalik or the outer Himalayas. The eastern part is called Purvanchal Himalayas. Known as the Mountain of Jammu, while in Arunachal Pradesh, it is known as Dafla, Miri, Mishmi, and Abor. It is known as Dudhwa In Uttarakhand.​
  • Important peaks here are Patkai Bum, Naga hills, Eastern Manipur hills, Barail, Garo, Khasi, and Jaintia.
