Solution

The correct option is C The number itself is a multiple of the same number.
The number itself is a factor and multiple of the same number.

For example, factors of 4 are 1, 2, 4

1 × 4 = 4
2 × 2 = 4

Hence, 4 is a factor of 4.

Multiples of 4 are 4, 8, 12, 16 and so on.

4 × 1 = 4
4 × 2 = 8
4 × 3 = 12
4 × 4 = 16

Here we observe that 4 is itself a multiple of 4.

Let's list the factors of 6.

1, 2, 3, 6

Here also we observe that 1 is a factor.

Hence, 1 is always a factor of any number.
