Choose the correct option with respect to parts of epididymis.
Head Region: Caput epididymis
Body region: Corpus epididymis
Tail region: Cauda epididymis
The epididymis can be divided into three parts
1)The caput epididymis or head: Lies at the anterior end of testis. It is where sperm enter the epididymis from the testes. At this stage, sperm are not motile. They are also very dilute. The concentration of sperm starts in the caput.
2) The corpus epididymis or the body region is the middle area where sperm begin to gain motility.
3)The cauda epididymis or tail is the primary storage site for mature sperm. Sperms can be stored in the cauda for up to a few days. It is continuous with a highly muscular duct called the ductus deferens, also know as the vas deferens.
