Sperm formed in the testes enter the epididymis where they mature. On leaving the epididymis they enter vas deferens, which is the duct that carries sperm from the epididymis to the ejaculatory duct.

During this transport 3 accessory glands namely the prostate, seminal vesicles and the bulbourethral glands contribute their secretions which form the bulk of semen.
