Syphilis
In the life cycle of a mosquito, egg, larva, pupa and adult stages are present. The female mosquito lays eggs in water. Within 2-5 days eggs hatch and give rise to larvae. Larvae possess a head, thorax and abdomen. The head is provided with compound eyes. Within 7-8 days, each larva moults several times and is converted to pupa. Pupa possesses respiratory siphon. Within 2-3 days pupa is transformed into an adult.
