Step 1: (4) Draw a straight line AB and mark a point P lying outside AB.
Step 2: (3) With a suitable radius and P as the center, draw an arc that cuts AB at X and Y.
Step 3: (1) With a radius of more than half of XY, draw an arc above AB taking X as the center.
Step 4: (5) With Y as the center, draw another arc with the same radius as in the previous step that cuts the previous arc. Name the point of intersection as Q.
