Organs are structures that are composed of 2 or more different types of tissues, that have a specific function. (eg: lungs, heart)
An organ system consists of related organs with a common function. (eg: digestive system includes the mouth, salivary glands, oesophagus, stomach, small intestine, large intestine, liver, gall bladder and pancreas)
All the systems are structurally integrated and function cooperatively to constitute the total organism. (eg: human body)
