Britain and France warned Germany to discontinue the war immediately but Germany did not. Hence, in response to Germany’s attack on Poland, Britain declared war against Germany. The Japanese attack on Pearl Harbour dragged the USA into the war. The USA had chosen to remain neutral before the occurrence of this event. It joined the Allied Nations.
