Solution

The correct option is D Sympathetic nervous system and parasympathetic nervous system are dampening system and flight/fight response system, respectively
Photoreceptor layer has photoreceptor cells, the rods and cones, that convey the signal to an intermediate layer containing the short sensory bipolar neurons. The bipolar neurons synapse with retinal ganglion cells, whose axon bundle together as the optic nerve.

Organ of Corti is the smallest unit of ear. On receiving the sound vibrations, the stapes pushes the oval membrane and create waves in the lymph fluid in cochlea. It creates ripples in the basilar membrane which bends the hair cells against the tectorial membrane resulting in generation of nerve impulse.

PNS has cranial nerves which arise from the brain and spinal nerve that emerge fromt the segments of the spinal cord.

Sympathetic nervous system and parasympathetic nervous system are flight/fight response system and dampening system, respectively.
