The correct option is A A-III, B-I, C-IV, D-II
Carolus Linnaeus is often referred to as "Father of Taxonomy". He wrote "Systema Naturae" and "Species Plantarum". He gave binomial nomenclature and also coined the term "systematics". Systematics is the study of diversity of organisms and all their comparative and evolutionary relationships.

Julian Huxley gave the concept of Neosystematics. It considers a species to be a product of the evolution. It takes into consideration all the known characteristics of organisms and all known evidences from different fields of biology.

John Ray coined "species", "monocotyledons" and "dicotyledons". Species represents a group of morphologically similar organisms. He also tried to differentiate between genus and species.

Adolf Meyer gave the term "taxon" for the animal groups. H. S. Lam first proposed the term "taxon" for plants. Category represents an abstract term, while taxon represents the real organisms.
