Solution

The correct option is B

5 kg

The calorific value of a substance is the amount of heat liberated by the complete combustion of 1 kg of fuel.

Total heat produced by 3 kg of fuel = 3 × 50000 = 150000 J

Total heat produced by 5 kg of fuel = 5 × 50000 = 250000 J

Total heat produced by 2 kg of fuel = 2 × 50000 = 100000 J

Total heat produced by 4 kg of fuel = 4 × 50000 = 200000 J

Therefore, 5 kg of fuel Z will produce more heat.
