Let us first multiply the denominators of the given rational numbers 35 and 23 so that the denominator becomes 75 as follows:

3×155×15=4575 and

2×253×25=5075

Now, clearly the rational numbers 4675, 4775 and 4975 lies between the rational numbers 4575 and 5075 but 5075 does not lie between 4575 and 5075.

Hence, 5075 does not lie between the rational numbers 35 and 23
