=30% of 50

A percent is 1 part out of 100.
1%=1100
30%=30×1100 =301×1100 =30×11×100 =30100

30% of 50=30100×50
=30×50100
Simplifying the fraction, we get
=2×15×5050×2
Cancel out common factors, we get
=15

Hence, Christopher attempted 15 out of 50 questions
