Chromoplasts are coloured plastids,containing coloured pigments like carotene (orange), xanthophylls (yellow) etc which are responsible for colours in different parts of the plant like fruits, flowers, buds, etc.

They are mostly present in the petals of flower in order to make flower attractive to pollinators.
