Chronic disease: Chronic diseases are those that

  1. Last longer.
  2. Recover slowly.
  3. Have more side effects.
  4. Do not recover completely.
  5. Onset gradually.
  6. Example- tuberculosis, cancer, etc.

Acute diseases: These diseases-

  1. Are short term diseases.
  2. Recover quickly.
  3. Have fewer side effects.
  4. Recover completely.
  5. Onset sudden.
  6. Example- cough, viral fever, etc.

The chronic disease shows adverse effects on health–reason:

  1. Acute diseases can cause temporary changes in the body that last only for few days or weeks. But, chronic diseases have long-term effects.
  2. Chronic diseases have very rare cure.
  3. They can't be cured completely.

For these reasons, chronic diseases show adverse effects on health.
