$\therefore$ Circumference of the base of the cylinder $=2\pi rcm$
According to question:
$2\pi r=88\therefore r=\frac{88}{2\pi }=\frac{88\times 7}{2\times 22}=14cm$
$\therefore$ Volume of the cylinder$=\pi r^{2}h$
$=\frac{22}{7}\times {\left(14\right)}^2\times 42$
$=22\times 2\times 14\times 42=25872cucm$
