Generally, in many aquatic ecosystems, the pyramid of biomass would be an inverted form. In this pyramid, the primary producer biomass is less when compared with consumer biomass. Hence, the pyramid assumes an inverted shape. Sun is the primary source of energy. Thus, the producers have the highest energy level. The energy always decreasing as go to higher trophic levels from producers. Hence, there is no inverted pyramid of energy.
