A fraction whose denominator is equal to $10, 100, 1000,$ etc. is known as a decimal fraction else it is known as a vulgar fraction.

The given fraction $3 \frac{2}{9}$ has an integral part as $3$ along with a proper fraction as $\frac{2}{9}$ .

$∴ 3 \frac{2}{9}$ is a mixed fraction.
