Solution

  • The total number of atoms present in a molecule is called atomicity.

A molecule consisting of one atom is called a monoatomic.

Hence,

  • He =1-Monoatomic
  • Ag =1-Monoatomic

A molecule consisting of two atoms is called a diatomic.

Hence,

  • F2= 2- Diatomic

A molecule consisting of three atoms is called triatomic

Hence,

  • NO2= 3-Triatomic
  • N2O= 3- Triatomic
  • O3 =3-Triatomic

A molecule that consists of more than four atoms is called a polyatomic molecule.

Hence,

  • C2H6=8- Polyatomic
  • P4 =5-- Polyatomic
  • H2O2=4- Polyatomic
  • P4O10= 14- Polyatomic
  • CH4 =5-Polyatomic
