Solution

Homogenous mixtureHeterogeneous mixture
  • Homogeneous mixtures are types of mixtures in which components are present uniform throughout and we can not distinguish the components present in that mixture physically.
  • These particles do not show the Tyndall effect.
  • The constituent particles cannot be separated by using centrifugation or decantation.
  • Examples: air, sodium chloride in water, glucose in water
  • Heterogeneous mixtures are types of mixtures in which components are not present uniform throughout.
  • The particles show a Tyndall effect.
  • Example: Sand and water
