Changes can be classified as two, i.e.,

  1. Physical changes: Changes which involve only physical properties such as colour, state, etc keeping the chemical identity the same and no new substance formed during a physical change
  2. Chemical changes: Changes which involve chemical properties such as bonding making the substance change to new substance.

So, we can classify changes: filling hot balloon with hot water, A glass tumbler falls from the table and shattering on the floor into pieces as physical changes.
