We know that If the sum of the two angles is 180°, the angles are said to be supplementary angles and each angle said to be the supplement of the other.

Let x° be an angle.

Then, the supplement of the x° is 180°-x°.

Given x° is an acute angle.

So, let x°=60°

Then, 180°-x°=180°-60°=120°, which is an obtuse angle.

Hence, the supplement of an acute angle is always an obtuse angle.
