Question

Classify the sets A=b,c,d,y and B=2,3,4,5,25 as equivalent, non-equivalent or equal sets.

Open in App
Solution

The cardinal number for set Ais nA=4 and for set B is nB=5.

Since the cardinal numbers are different, they will not be equivalent sets.

Also, two sets A and B can be equal only if each element of set A is also the element of the set B

So, the given sets are not equal sets.

Hence, the given sets are non-equivalent sets.
