2. Silt: Particle Size having diameter between 0.002 millimetres to 0.05 millimetres.
3. Sand: Particle Size having diameter between 0.05 and 2 millimetres.

On the basis of age as:
old alluvial soil is known as Bangar whereas the new alluvial soil is called Khadar.
