Solution
There are different types of neurons in the organisms which are responsible for performing specific functions. There are three types of neurons.
The sensory neuron conduct nervous impulses from the sense organs to the brain and spinal cord. They bring the information from the receptor organs.
There are motor neurons which carry impulses from the brain and spinal cord to the muscles and glands. They carry the messages to the effector organs. There are association neurons which perform integrative functions of the nervous system. These are the neurons which conducts the impulse between two neurons and are called as interneurons.
