When the $p C O_{2}$ is low and $p O_{2}$ is high as in the lung alveoli, dissociation of $C O_{2}$ from carbamino-haemoglobin takes place. $C O_{2}$ which is bound to haemoglobin from the tissue is delivered at the alveoli.
